Clearpath Robotics and OTTO Motors Continue Rapid Growth Trajectory with Addition of Experienced Chief Financial Officer John Vukovic to Leadership Team

Kitchener, Ontario (June 25, 2019) - Clearpath Robotics and subsidiary OTTO Motors are proud to announce the addition of John Vukovic as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to their joint leadership team. Vukovic joins Clearpath from Aeryon Labs, where he was Chief Financial Officer through the company’s growth and acquisition by FLIR Systems. Prior to joining Aeryon Labs, Vukovic held the role of CFO with multiple rapid growth organizations, and has also led financing, merger & acquisition mandates for clients at Ernst & Young.

With over 20 years of financial leadership experience, Vukovic will be responsible for ensuring the long-term sustainability of both of the OTTO Motors and Clearpath Robotics business models. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome John to Clearpath. He is going to have a significant impact on our organization, particularly as we continue to grow and scale into the industrial market,” commented Bryan Webb, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Clearpath Robotics and OTTO Motors. “John has an impressive background as a finance leader within multiple rapid growth, industry-disrupting organizations, while always maintaining focus on the company’s overall objectives and customers.”

Vukovic will lead Clearpath Robotics and OTTO Motors’ financial operations, government affairs, and commercial relationships teams. Webb, who has been acting in a dual COO and CFO role to date, will continue in the role of COO.

Clearpath Robotics and OTTO Motors are making people’s lives easier and safer through development and application of robotics technologies to dull, dirty, and dangerous jobs, and Vukovic is excited to join the movement. "I am excited for the opportunity to be joining the leadership team at Clearpath as the company continues on rapid growth trajectories in both the industrial and research divisions. I look forward to supporting the businesses as the organization transforms material transportation and enables business efficiency through practical application of advanced technology including artificial intelligence, autonomy and automation and expands its scope of products, services and geographical footprint.”

Both OTTO Motors and Clearpath Robotics achieved record-breaking sales in 2018, and are looking forward to continuing the trend in 2019 and beyond. Key highlights from last year include:

  • Launch of the OTTO 750, the first self-driving vehicle for material handling with a payload of 750 kg
  • Launch of the OTTO OMEGA, the world’s first self driving lift truck
  • Launch of the Clearpath Robotics Moose UGV, the world’s largest outdoor research robot
  • Addition of business leader Linda Fayne Levinson to Clearpath’s Board of Directors
